What to Do While You Wait
If your door is stuck open, don't try to force it down manually. A door off its track or with a broken spring can drop with enough force to cause serious injury. Here's what to do instead:
- Pull the emergency release cord (the red handle hanging from the track) to disconnect the opener
- If the door is stuck partially open, do not stand or walk underneath it
- Lock the interior door between your garage and your house
- Move valuables away from the open garage if possible
- Turn on exterior lights to deter opportunistic theft
How Emergency Calls Work
You call, we answer — no voicemail trees, no callbacks in the morning. A dispatcher confirms your location and issue, then routes the nearest available technician. Most emergency arrivals happen within 30 to 60 minutes depending on your area and time of night.
Our trucks are stocked with the parts that handle 90% of emergency calls: torsion springs, extension springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and opener gear kits. If your door needs a panel or a part we don't carry, we'll secure the door safely and schedule the follow-up repair for the earliest available slot — usually the same day or next morning.
After-Hours vs. Regular Service
Emergency calls between 8 PM and 7 AM, and on major holidays, include a service fee on top of the standard repair cost. This covers the technician's after-hours availability and travel. We'll quote the total before starting any work — no surprises on the invoice.
If your situation can safely wait until morning, we'll tell you that honestly. Not every problem needs a midnight repair, and we'd rather earn your trust than charge you a premium for something that could wait eight hours.
